Sankofa Bridge on The Culture

Writer: Tiffany BenjaminTiffany Benjamin

Coreen McCall, founder of Sankofa Bridge, recently shared her vision on The Culture with Farajii Muhammad and Trinette Collier on Roland Martin's Black Star Network. They discussed Sankofa Bridge's mission to bridge cultural gaps through travel. McCall, a dynamic leader and advocate for philanthropy, opened up about the genesis of Sankofa Bridge. With a deep commitment to honoring African heritage and fostering cultural connections, McCall shared information about their flagship program, Sankofa Travel. Youth accepted into the program are given the opportunity to travel nationally and internationally 100% FREE of cost!

Excerpt from the show:

With this experience, it will open up a plethora of opportunities for [youth], because if you can see it you can be it. I need children to see what is out there. I need them to see dancers. I need them to see Broadway actors and live performers. I need them to travel the world and experience these different cultures so that they can then take those experiences, internalize them, and use them as they move forward in life. - Coreen McCall
