Education

She attended the College of New Rochelle from 2012 to 2015, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences. She earned her Master of Science at Columbia University School of Professional Studies from 2015 to 2018 graduating cum laude in Fundraising and Nonprofit Management.

Sankofa Bridge

Coreen has always had a passion for helping others. In 2023, she had the idea of starting a nonprofit organization that would help provide children in low-income, urban communities with international cultural experiences, 100% cost-free, to help broaden their sense of identity, and empower them to become a greater version of themselves. After visiting Ghana later that year, she decided to bring the idea to fruition. Coreen married her knowledge of nonprofit management and her passion for uplifting others and birthed Sankofa Bridge, Inc.

Genealogy

One of Coreen’s profound passions and most esteemed achievements is the construction of her family tree. Her unrelenting dedication to genealogical research has culminated in developing a family tree boasting more than 10,000 members dispersed in over 10 countries and several continents. Coreen has also used her knowledge in researching genealogy to help many people trace their lineage as well as locate living family members. Genealogy research and connecting families continues to be an integral part of the passion that fuels Coreen’s success.

Carib Tombstones

In an effort to help preserve the legacy of our ancestors and to maintain the integrity of our history, Coreen embarked on the laborious journey of digitizing all tombstones in the island of Barbados, home to her maternal family. In 2019, she founded the Carib Tombstones website where many of the 5,000+ images are housed and made accessible worldwide.
